Mutant Space: Horizontal Section is a series of speculative drawings juxtaposed with the large format photographs of some nuclear sites in the US, NY/NJ area. As part of emergency preparedness planning for nuclear energy facilities, state and local agencies and contractors of the power plants develop detailed evacuation plans. These plans typically include several scenarios to reflect such variables as time of day, season, weather conditions and population group. These drawings are based on the reading of these plans as speculative as they are.
